Jack Borg-Delaney

Jack is an Audit Partner and Head of Scotland at Acumon, with over 20 years' experience in audit and assurance, including more than a decade with EY and Deloitte and senior leadership roles within the independent sector.

As a Responsible Individual, Jack has extensive experience leading audits ranging from owner-managed and private equity-backed businesses to complex international groups and listed companies. During his Big Four career, he worked with organisations including Tarmac, Specsavers, TAQA and the PGA, giving him experience across a wide range of sectors, ownership structures and complex reporting environments.

Jack has spent the last 10 years working in North East Scotland, developing a strong understanding of the region's business community and particularly its energy and private equity markets. His experience with private equity-backed businesses in the region includes working with TWMA, Ashtead, Coretrax and Centurion Group, providing him with first-hand experience of the reporting, governance and growth requirements of investor-backed businesses.

Jack also has significant public and not-for-profit sector experience. He has worked alongside the National Audit Office on engagements including the Government Legal Department and Bona Vacantia Division, while his charity sector experience includes working with organisations such as the Mines Advisory Group.

Jack is particularly passionate about modernising the way audit is delivered. He has led audit transformation projects and is a strong advocate for combining experienced, partner-led teams with technology, data analytics and automation to improve audit quality, efficiency and the overall client experience.

As Head of Scotland, Jack leads Acumon's Scottish practice and its continued growth across the country. With a strong presence in Aberdeen and Dundee, Acumon Scotland works with businesses and organisations across a broad range of sectors, providing a locally led and genuinely partner-accessible service.

Jack is also a regular contributor to discussions around audit quality, technology and the future of the profession, including speaking at industry events and contributing to professional publications.
